Sedona
After Walnut Canyon, we had to decide whether to return via I40/I15 or Phoenix via I17/I8 or I10. Distance and time were about the same. Decided to go through Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon to Phoenix, to visit briefly with a friend sequestered in a senior living situation in Scottsdale.
Scenery through Oak Creek Canyon was fantastic, with lots of autumn color. Unfortunately, it seemed like half of Phoenix went there that Sunday afternoon and there was no place to pull over.
Did manage to get a few pics in Sedona. Had to wait for break in the clouds to get some sunlight on the red rock.
When we got back onto I17, we had our second 2 hour traffic jam of people just going back home to Phoenix.
It was good to see Ruth briefly and distantly behind a fence. They are proud there that they have had no Covid cases.
