Daraw and Camel Trader
Daraw is known for its camel market on Sundays. Unfortunately we were not here on Sunday and visited a camel trader instead. Camels are generally sold by the "rope". That means a group of camels are tied together and connected by a rope. You can't pick and choose. We learned that the camels come from Ethiopia and Sudan. He compared Ethiopian camels to zebras and Sudanese camels to donkeys.
We walked through Daraw and stopped to visit a furniture maker. His neighbor came over to us and told us he was a Christian and the carpenter was Muslim and that get along just fine.
